Still Moving Open House

Join us for the new exhibit, Still Moving! Meet artist Tracy Walsh, explore her photographs and enjoy light refreshments.

Still Moving is grounded in the understanding that water is always present even when frozen, hidden underground, or absorbed within living systems. In the same way, mental and emotional states continue to shift beneath periods of stillness or pause.

The Mississippi River serves as both inspiration and metaphor throughout the work. Shaped by time, impacted by collective action, and capable of recovery, the river reflects how care, attention, and stewardship can support long term resilience.

The exhibition is organized into four reflective sections, PAUSE-WITHIN-CONFLUENCE-RETURN, guiding visitors in a flow that mirrors the movement of a river and the rhythm of seasonal change.

The Sacred Water Shared Future campaign is powered by you! The heart of this centennial celebration is the incredible variety of events planned and hosted by our partners — community groups, nonprofits, businesses, schools, and individuals who feel a connection to the Mississippi River.

We do not host events ourselves; instead, we serve as a central hub for river-focused activities happening across the Twin Cities throughout 2026.
