River Days of Action

June 1June 15
River Days of Action banner.

Each June 1 – 15, individuals, organizations, and communities across the Mississippi River watershed come together for River Days of Action—a two-week celebration of connection, community, and care for the Mighty Mississippi. From the Headwaters to the Gulf, River Days invites everyone to get involved through cleanups, paddles, restoration projects, educational webinars, community festivals, and more. It’s a chance to experience the River firsthand, build relationships, and take meaningful action for our people, land, water, and wildlife.

As we look ahead to River Days of Action 2026, One Mississippi—a proud partner of Sacred Waters, Shared Future 2026—invites you to get involved by exploring local events, activities, and opportunities to make a difference. Whether you’re hosting an event, volunteering, or showing up to learn, your participation helps strengthen our collective commitment to a healthier, more resilient Mississippi River for everyone.

Contact info@1mississippi.org with any questions and cruise over to the River Days of Action webpage to learn more, find events, and discover how you can get involved!

Organizer

The Sacred Water Shared Future campaign is powered by you! The heart of this centennial celebration is the incredible variety of events planned and hosted by our partners — community groups, nonprofits, businesses, schools, and individuals who feel a connection to the Mississippi River.

We do not host events ourselves; instead, we serve as a central hub for river-focused activities happening across the Twin Cities throughout 2026.
