Drop-In Discoveries: River Rocks
Drop in any time to look for rocks along the banks of the Mississippi. Learn how to identify your finds and bring your best rock related questions to see if you can stump the naturalist! All ages welcome. Free.
Friends & Family Log Rolling
Rooted in the history of the logging era on the Mississippi, and other Minnesota rivers, log rolling is both safe and fun. Join the Outdoor Recreation School instructors to learn this exciting sport! Test your new skills while “competing” against other participants! No previous experience is needed. $6/person.
The Sacred Water Shared Future campaign is powered by you! The heart of this centennial celebration is the incredible variety of events planned and hosted by our partners — community groups, nonprofits, businesses, schools, and individuals who feel a connection to the Mississippi River.
We do not host events ourselves; instead, we serve as a central hub for river-focused activities happening across the Twin Cities throughout 2026.
